I grew up in a very small town in central Illinois. I later moved to Phoenix, Arizona and attended college to become a registered nurse. Although, I enjoyed nursing it just didn't fulfill me like photography does.
I sometimes am a person with little words and photography allows me to express myself and have the creative outlet I've always craved. Since becoming a photographer, I have grown an appreciation for the small things, the things I may never have even noticed before I was a photographer-the imperfect scenes.
I can visit a place a million times, but every time it looks different to me. I believe perspective plays a huge role in this. One may look for the grand picture, don't get me wrong one of these are important also, but I am drawn towards the small details, like the texture on a wall, unique shadows, light beaming through a window, or architecture that would create a beautiful composition.
This is what inspires me - the totally unexpected. The overlooked details are what create emotion filled photographs and give you a nostalgic gallery.
In my free time, I love to travel and spend time with my dog Layla. I live to explore this beautiful world that we live in.
